Jan Keseberg

Application Engineer, Leister Technologies AG, Laser Plastic Welding

Leister AG - Ausbildung und Lehrstellen
Jan Keseberg
"I find the interesting variety of work in process development and the close contact with our customers extraordinarily appealing."

Jan Keseberg studied mechanical engineering with a concentration in plastics technology at the RWTH in Aachen. During his studies he also worked part-time at the Fraunhofer-Institute as a student intern in the area of laser technology. It thus made sense for Jan Keseberg to complete his mandatory internship, with concentration on laser optics development, in Switzerland at Leister Laser Plastic Welding and also for him to write his dissertation on this subject area.

Following successful completion of his studies, he has now embarked on his professional career with a start as the third applications engineer at Leister Laser Plastic Welding and is looking forward particularly to process development in collaboration with customers and partners.

Jan Keseberg spends his free time on the nearby ski slopes or in the summer biking on playing football. If the weather isn't sunny, he also enjoys a game of squash, a quiet book or getting together with friends.

Bojun Cheng

Trainee at Axetris from March to August 2014

Bojun Cheng

“Working in the Axetris development department is fascinating but not without its challenges. There's never a dull moment as I am constantly learning new things and faced with different tasks.”

Bojun's role allows him to make valuable contributions to projects and work on his own initiative to make the necessary developments. He is currently a Masters student at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETHZ) in Zurich. This is not his first experience at Axetris, as he completed an internship with the company from July to December 2013, during which time he was involved in a different project. As a result, he has already developed a keen understanding of the company.

His work centers around projects and involves dealing with various tasks depending on the requirements of the subproject. These include collating and editing relevant literary articles, theoretical simulations, experiments, and data analysis. The results of his work are generally imparted in the form of presentations or by means of knowledge transfer to other Axetris employees. Once a project is complete, Bojun takes great pride in seeing his colleagues and the company as a whole benefit from his work.

In his free time he loves to go swimming in Lake Sarnen, which is situated nearby, or even scaling the surrounding mountains on foot or by bike. His holidays are frequently spent by the sea, which allows him to indulge in his hobbies of windsurfing, diving, and swimming.
