UNIDRIVE 500: Hand Welding Redefined
Leister presents the UNIDRIVE 500 to the Italian market. The predecessor to the TRIAC DRIVE that brings more even versatility, thanks to its compact and ergonomic design, which enables high-quality welds on waterproof roofing membranes.
From Leister, the Swiss multinational manufacturing leader in tools for plastic processing comes UNIDRIVE 500. A revolutionary, semi-automatic welding machine suitable for all roofing applications. UNIDRIVE 500 represents the natural evolution of TRIAC DRIVE, a solution that is highly appreciated on job sites for its flexibility and effectiveness in carrying out quick and precise welds. Thanks to the UNIDRIVE 500s revolutionary and compact design, operators are able to work in otherwise inaccessible places, where manual welding would normally be the only alternative.
Compared to the TRIAC DRIVE, UNIDRIVE 500 improves ergonomics and is perfect for daily work on job sites. Its compact and lightweight design make it the tool of choice for automating even the most difficult roofs to weld: it's able to weld horizontally in confined spaces, vertically on walls and also perform curved welds, weld around skylights, parapets and circular figures. UNIDRIVE 500 can weld at two to three times the speed of manual welding, while offering the same quality as automatic welding.
UNIDRIVE 500 welds a complete range of thermoplastic and elastomeric membranes by overlapping, from polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and thermoplastic olefins (TPO) sheets to waterproofing membranes made from modified ethylene-propylene diene (EPDM) monomers.
Perfect for use on flat or sloping roofs, UNIDRIVE 500 can weld distances as short as 60 mm from parapets or beams. Thanks to its agility and rotating nozzle, users have the ability to weld in both directions (forward and reverse) and the option to weld at three different widths: 15, 30 and 40 mm.
The versatility of UNIDRIVE 500 does not stop here: this semi-automatic welder allows you to weld elements such as waterstops to waterproofing sheets, as well as plastic profiles for decorating roofs or for waterproofing supports of photo-voltaic systems.
Like all Leister products, UNIDRIVE 500 provides the quality guarantee: every phase of production for this welding machine, from design to packaging, takes place within our own factories, based in Switzerland. Additionally, in cases where technical assistance is required, Leister technicians will bring their technical experience and expertise to users in need.
For over 70 years Leister has been manufacturing and marketing industrial heaters, hot air guns and plastic welding machinery, along with cutting-edge technologies.
