The 23rd edition of Ecomondo
, Europe's leading trade fair for technological innovation applied to the circular economy, ended in Rimini after 4 intense days, with a significant influx of operators.
Also this year the event saw the participation of Leister Technologies Italia, leader in the production of solutions for plastic welding. The Italian company was founded in 2013 and today can count on a team of 17 competent and motivated employess, whose professionalism is underlined by a remarkable ability to understand the needs of customers.
Ecomondo was an excellent opportunity to meet the public of waterproofers and present several new products that have been added to the wide range of welding machines of the company, already much appreciated by professionals in this segment.
The Leister solutions used for waterproofing reservoirs, landfills and for underground works in general, continue to be renewed thanks to the company's investment in research and development, aimed at achieving a quality of welds, ergonomics and ease of use ever greater.
Among the solutions presented by Leister at Ecomondo, the new TWINNY T5
and TWINNY T7
aroused particular interest. The practical welding machine for underground and hydraulic works has long been appreciated for its ergonomics and versatility, to the point that many companies would be more than satisfied with the results achieved so far. But Leister's engineers continued to work: drawing on almost twenty years of experience in construction sites around the world, they have managed to improve an already excellent product.
In particular, the new TWINNY
- faster, thanks to a more powerful blower and feed motor, which allow a welding speed of up to twice that of previous models;
- more reliable, thanks to the greater robustness of the transmission elements of the movement;
- simpler to use, with easier calibration and the possibility of easily checking all the welding parameters, starting with the pressure;
- smarter, thanks to the revolutionary LQS Leister Quality System that allows you to save in the Cloud the operating parameters of the machine, geo-localizing the welding. This makes it possible to verify the quality of the work and simplifies reporting to the Works Management.
WELDERS AND ACCESSORIES
TWINNY was the main protagonist at Ecomondo, but not the only one: visitors were able to appreciate the quality of other welding machines and the expansion of the range of accessories.
Among the welders that aroused the interest of the operators, we must mention GEOSTAR G5/G7, UNIDRIVE and COMET.
, automatic hot wedge welding machine for synthetic waterproofing membranes, is fast, reliable and light. Suitable for the most diverse types of materials (HD-PE from 0.8 to 3.0 mm, LD-PE, TPO, FPO and PVC-P), it is characterized by a special geometry of the welding wedge and a larger roller opening, which facilitate the insertion of the sheets and allow a uniform and fluid contact with the wedge.
, in the G7
version, can reach a maximum theoretical speed of 12 metres per minute. Customers present at the event testified to the benefits of working with a machine like Geostar: "In just one day I was able to weld more than 8,000 m2 of sheet",

, a revolutionary semi-automatic welding machine, is suitable for pre-welding patches and small portions of fabric. Ergonomic and very practical, compact and lightweight, it can automate even difficult welds such as horizontal welds in confined spaces, vertical welds on walls and even curved welds. All at double or triple the speed of manual welding.
Leister's extruders were also a must at the fair. FUSION 1
in particular is the brand new extruder that stands out for its great handling even in very confined spaces. Weighing only 3.4 kg, this manual extruder can also be used with one hand by removing a handle. The welding wire can be loaded from both sides, allowing considerable flexibility; the LEDs illuminate the welding area, making it easier to use inside plastic products, where the light is never enough. The extruder can also be hung by means of a small winch, to weld longer without effort. The integrated air guide makes FUSION 1 particularly slim and compact. FUSION 1 is very interesting for those who make containers or plastic products or repair existing ones (wells for water drainage, bins, bins, baskets, etc.).
, an easy to use and very compact automatic welding machine (7.5 kg weight), also contributed to demonstrating the breadth of the Leister range, which was not limited to welding machines: visitors were also presented with the new COUPON CUTTER
, a cutter for preparing welding samples to be tested, and the EXAMO
tester for analysing the quality of welds.
Ecomondo was an excellent opportunity to introduce Leister products dedicated to the world of waterproofing in underground works to the numerous operators present, who also appreciated the competence and availability of the technical and commercial staff.
