Leister Geostar geomembrane welding machine first choice at Cofra (NL)
Amsterdam, The Netherlands - Leister Geostar G7 at Cofra in use on the waste disposal site Geldermalsen
Cofra has worked very closely with Leister during the release of the newest generation of membrane welding tools, the Geostar G5 & G7. Leister introduced the very first GEOSTAR membrane welding machine to Cofra in 2014 and they instantly volunteered to perform long-term field tests. During these field tests Cofra quickly realized that these machines were far superior to the competition and quickly purchased the very first production machines. After continued success they completely upgraded their machine portfolio and the Geostar was their tool of choice. The first successful finished project was the waste disposal site "Meersteeg" in Geldermalsen, The Netherlands. At this site over 127.000 m2 HDPE membrane (2mm) was perfectly welded in harsh environmental conditions (wind, rain and cold) to cover this complete waste disposal site. Cofra’s customers turn to them for a superior quality of membrane welding and Leister’s Geostar tools are helping continue this tradition.
Cofra specialises in the fabrication and installation of geomembranes. Cofra is the largest installer of geomembrane in the Netherlands on waste disposal sites and in the civil application of the KIWA-certified 2.0 mm HDPE geomembranes.
