Description of the Scope of Work
Leister Technologies AG is implementing SAP S/4HANA using a greenfield approach. S/4HANA will involve the use of many modules and peripheral systems, such as SAP EWM, PP, MRP, QM, etc. This rollout of our own SAP template represents a major step forward in our digital transformation, enabling us to redesign our production, planning, logistics, and sales processes from the ground up in a modern and optimized manner. A wide variety of products, varying levels of vertical integration—including in-house component production in some cases—diverse markets and seasonal fluctuations, as well as the distinctive and varied skills of our production staff, require the implementation of specific SAP-supported strategies and solutions. Following the go-live in Sarnen, we plan to roll out S/4HANA to our international sales organizations.
SAP Manufacturing, Planning, and Quality Process Expert
Help shape the digital future of manufacturing and supply chain management. Do you have experience in this area and would you like to actively help shape production- and SCM-related business processes? In this key role, would you like to contribute significantly to building a high-performance ERP and EWM system landscape—and thereby support the company’s ambitious growth—by working on the development, implementation, and, after go-live, the continuous optimization and further development of these processes in conjunction with S/4HANA?
- As a Process Expert for your area, you’ll collaborate with the Global Process Owner. This governance model is part of the S/4HANA roll-in project, in which you’ll serve as a Global Process Expert. After go-live, this subject matter expertise may lead to similar roll-in projects at international subsidiaries with production operations.
- As a Process Expert, you bridge the gap between business and IT, drive standardization and digitalization, and ensure that processes are designed to be efficient, integrated, up-to-date, and future-proof.
Your tasks
Working closely with the business units, you will analyze requirements and translate them into sustainable, standardized, and scalable SAP solutions. In doing so, you will develop harmonized end-to-end processes and ensure their successful implementation:
- The current planning system will be replaced by SAP. This involves reanalyzing and reclassifying materials, as well as defining SAP planning strategies and parameters. In-depth knowledge of material requirements planning in procurement and production—both conceptually and within SAP—is required. This enables you to explain stochastic methods such as moving averages and exponential smoothing, including their application limits.
- Based on ABC-XYZ classification and planning theory, you can determine which SAP planning strategy to apply, e.g., consumption- or demand-driven, stochastic, master data-based, or hybrid planning, as well as MTS/MTO; which ordering method or stochastic method, in conjunction with safety stock, is appropriate; how to determine the appropriate levels of safety stock and lot sizes; which SAP tools—in particular SAP MRP, SAP PP/DS, and SAP IBP—should be used appropriately; and how to define the overall optimal planning strategy while taking production and warehouse capacities into account.
- You will design concepts for future production operations using S/4HANA, including requirements for new hardware to be implemented for process monitoring and
- control, for identifying materials, for confirming completed work steps, etc., as well as for the design of production lines or cells.
- You incorporate current “best practices” for implementing S/4HANA in Manufacturing, Planning, and Quality into your concepts, with a focus on setting up material master data and its structures, Controlling requirements for generating planned and actual production data, and requirements for capacity planning, demand planning, sales planning, monitoring tools, and reporting.
- You will define future processes, including SAP functions, requirements, and details.
- Using creativity, experience, and an understanding of the scope and impact on the workforce, you will develop new, future SAP-supported processes both during the project and after go-live as part of continuous improvement (CIP).
- You test SAP functions, document the results, and approve them for production deployment.
- As the central point of contact, you coordinate collaboration with Group IT and any external SAP consulting partners.
- You ensure transparent risk, escalation, and stakeholder management.
- You map current processes in SAP Signavio.
- You analyze current processes supported by the legacy system.
- You create training materials, foster the necessary acceptance during training sessions in an empathetic, calm, and cooperative manner, and facilitate knowledge transfer to end users and key users.
- As an experienced change manager, you implement the new processes together with production staff, team leads, and neighboring teams.
Your Profile
- Several years of experience in the introduction, implementation, or further development of SAP S/4HANA solutions in the areas of production, production planning, material planning, and quality management.
- Good knowledge of the SAP modules PP, MRP, PP/DS, IBP, or other production planning tools, as well as QM, and a good understanding of how these modules interact with EWM and MM. Customizing knowledge is not required but is desirable.
- Experience in (partial) project management of transformation, SAP implementation, and optimization projects.
- A confident demeanor, strong communication skills, and a passion for rallying people toward common goals.
- The ability to reconcile differing interests.
- An analytical, structured, and solution-oriented approach to work combined with strong execution skills.
- Excellent written and spoken German and English, as well as at least a good understanding of Swiss German.
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business Informatics, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a comparable field.
What you can expect
- A key role in an SAP S/4HANA transformation with significant creative freedom.
- Short decision-making paths and the opportunity to quickly put ideas into practice.
- A wide range of opportunities for professional and personal development.
- Attractive employment terms and flexible work arrangements.
- A corporate culture based on trust, personal responsibility, and collaboration.
