Maintenance Engineer

For the team Wafer Production Maintenance, we are looking for a Maintenance Engineer. As an experienced member of the maintenance team, you will be responsible for all aspects of maintenance in the frond-end production in lithography and/or wet chemistry, including scheduled maintenance work and troubleshooting. You will assist in the introduction of the MES system for the planning of all maintenance activities. 

 

Your Tasks:

  • Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and optimization of equipment used in semiconductor production, with a focus on lithography and wet chemistry tools
  • Conduct fault analysis, servicing activities, and technical conversions to ensure smooth operation and maximum uptime of production equipment.
  • Implement and use MES system for planning, scheduling and logging maintenance activities
  • Support in various smaller projects paving the way towards IATF certification
  • Collaborate closely with Process and Operations departments to support high-volume, zero-defects production of micro-optics and foundry services 
  • Ensure detailed documentation of machinery condition, maintenance activities, and work performed
  • Collaborate with production teams and external contractors during planning, installation and commissioning of new equipment

 

Your Profile:

  • Several years of experience in maintenance and service relating to machinery/systems used in semiconductor pro-duction, experience with Süss and Amcoss tools is a plus
  • Expertise in electrical systems, electronics, PLC, pneumatics, vacuum technology and robotics
  • Knowledge of lithography and wet chemistry processes in semiconductor production
  • Proficiency in computerized maintenance management systems (MES) and MS Office
  • Strong understanding of safety & environmental rules and ability to implement them
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to optimize procedures for improved machine uptime
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams and external suppliers
  • Good command of English language, good knowledge of German is advantageous
