For decades, we have been maintaining a deeply rooted culture of innovation in the Leister Group. We ensure our global market leadership through customer-centered solutions, global innovation management and proactive interactions between our various departments, among other things.

Leister engineers are continuously developing the existing Leister and Axetris portfolio of products in close cooperation with product managers and product designers. Our focus is on the needs of customers around the world within a wide variety of industries. Even the smallest components are developed, when required by our customers.

A good example of this kind of innovation is the flicker chip from Leister. It reliably controls and regulates electric heaters up to 4kW. We use it in most Leister devices (for example, the TRIAC ST heat gun) and in OEM products for the medical industry or for heating technology.

The PMS01C (pulse modulation switch) circuit is a compact and cost-effective ASIC (application-specific integrated circuit). Additional software is not necessary, which eliminates the need for software updates. The pulse pattern of the Triac controller precisely triggers the zero crossing of the mains voltage and thus the target value of the heating output and conforms to standards (EN61000-3-2 and EN61000-3-3).

The ASIC chip is designed to tolerate high voltage supply. The integrated power supply provides a voltage supply of 5V/3mA for external consumers like an additional microcontroller, for example. The serial interface allows direct connection between the flicker chip and the microcontroller (integrated circuit).

The PMS01C Triac controller, a development by Leister, represents a milestone in the innovation history of the Leister Group. Thanks to this technology, it lends itself well to the DIY, commercial and industrial applications.

Our extensive research and development has led to a plethora of innovation that focuses on market needs. To date, Leister has produced over 140 inventions and more than 560 patents have emerged.

For decades, Leister has been setting standards worldwide for quality, user-friendliness and innovative developments. Our motto “Leister. We know how.” is attributed to the wealth of knowledge and experience that our exceptional employees possess. Worldwide.
