The PMS01C (pulse modulation switch) circuit is a compact and cost-effective ASIC (application-specific integrated circuit). Additional software is not necessary, which eliminates the need for software updates. The pulse pattern of the Triac controller precisely triggers the zero crossing of the mains voltage and thus the target value of the heating output and conforms to standards (EN61000-3-2 and EN61000-3-3).
The ASIC chip is designed to tolerate high voltage supply. The integrated power supply provides a voltage supply of 5V/3mA for external consumers like an additional microcontroller, for example. The serial interface allows direct connection between the flicker chip and the microcontroller (integrated circuit).
