In his address, Wuppertal's mayor Uwe Schneidewind welcomed the company's management and employees. He said that the establishment of Leister in Wuppertal had a "high symbolic effect". "Companies located in Wuppertal are characterized by a high level of innovative strength," Schneidewind said. As an international technology leader, Leister, therefore, fits well into the local industry profile.
“We deliberately chose Wuppertal because it is a traditional and industrial business location with a creative and sustainable urban strategy”, said Andreas Cellar, General Manager Leister Technologies Deutschland GmbH.
The new logistics and service center with workshop and customer reception is located in the Oberbarmen district of Wuppertal. Via the logistics center, Leister supplies the German market and the surrounding European countries with hot air devices. These are used for welding and forming thermoplastics and for drying paint.
Guests toured the new logistics and service center. At information booths, apprentices and employees presented various Leister high-tech products.
