Customers of Leister Process Heat are already aware: we always name our blowers after special winds. It just makes sense. So when we call our blower CHINOOK, we don’t mean the breed of dog, we don’t mean the Boeing helicopter, we mean the warm fall Chinook wind that blows on the east side of the Rocky Mountains in the Intermountain West of North America. However, the air of that Chinook is not recyclable – ours is. Read on.
Smart Spenders go for CHINOOK
Hot air from industrial processes often escapes unused into the atmosphere. That’s a shame, because this waste of resources is bad for our environment and costs you a lot of money. That’s why smart spenders choose recyclable and temperature-resistant air heaters and blowers from Leister. Why? Thanks to this power combination, they simply feed the hot air back into the air heater, saving enormous energy and costs. Compressed air? Yesterday’s news.
Leister’s CHINOOK blower for hot air recirculation of up to 350 °C (662 °F)
The CHINOOK side channel blower has been on the market since September 2023. Leister has developed the CHINOOK blower to feed process air at high pressure, at up to 350 °C (662 °F), back into industrial processes. This is exciting news for mechanical engineers and RnD managers, because hot air recirculation saves up to 50 % energy and costs and reduces the CO₂ footprint.
