The International Roofing Expo (IRE) is the largest trade show for roofing and outdoor installations in North America. With over 65 years of history, it is the industry’s annual meeting place for the exchange of information on products, equipment, practical training and networking. Thousands of specialists attend the IRE every year to expand their network and knowledge.

The “People's Choice Award” presented at the IRE underlines Leister's commitment to driving innovation. At the heart of this achievement is the VARIMAT 700, a demonstration of Leister’s unwavering commitment to advancing roofing technology. The automatic welder is known for its high performance and is designed for a variety of applications: Whether for roofing work or swimming pool construction, the geomembranes are processed reliably, quickly and economically. Truck tarpaulins and advertising banners can also be welded securely with the Leister VARIMAT 700.

The dynamic collaboration that played a central role in the development of the VARIMAT 700 is founded on a shared vision of excellence. The innovation and development process of the welding machine could only be decisively advanced through the symbiotic partnership between Leister and a network of industry experts and material manufacturers and their collective expertise and knowledge. When developing the Leister VARIMAT 700, various feedback from roofers and material manufacturers was taken into account, which is reflected in its functional design and its suitability for construction sites.
For example, Leister's Scandinavian customers wanted the automatic welding machine to be equipped with an LED work light. Leister engineers have implemented this feedback in the development of the VARIMAT 700. Thus, with this automatic roof welding machine it is possible to weld at night or at dusk, while optimally illuminating the welding zone.
The result of this goal-oriented cooperation is the creation of a product that is truly tailored to the needs of the target markets.
