Significant changes have recently occurred in the production of beverage cartons (Tetra Paks). The fossil fuels used to date are gradually being replaced by electricity generated from sustainable sources.
Leister takes this environmentally conscious trend into account and offers highly efficient electric hot-air systems for welding the longitudinal seam of beverage cartons. Also known as sealing units, these systems replace the gas burners previously used. Welding with hot air also offers another advantage: it prevents oxidation of polyethylene along the weld.
Powerful Krelus infrared radiators for industrial use
Krelus AG, part of the Leister Group since April 2018, has over 40 years of experience in the construction of customized infrared solutions. The Krelus infrared radiator transmits the heat directly to the product. The built-in film technology efficiently prevents heat loss at the back of the radiator so that cooling is not required. Furthermore, there is no need to heat glass or ceramics, so the radiator reacts very quickly. This offers many advantages: in addition to being able to accurately regulate the surface temperature of the product to be heated, rapid heating and cooling are a major plus. This allows the radiator to be switched off even during short production interruptions, saving energy and costs. Krelus will present its range of module radiators as well as customized infrared radiators at the K-Messe.
