Everything began with keen market observation by the Belgian manufacturer of custom swimming pools: more and more customers were looking for personalized pool solutions that go beyond standard dimensions. Flexline recognized this demand early on and expanded its portfolio to include custom-made monoblock pools made of polypropylene.

“Monoblock pools are becoming increasingly popular because they ensure excellent quality control and significantly reduce on-site construction time,” explains Flexline. “Their sleek design and versatile configuration options fit perfectly with our LPW Pools offering. This makes the portfolio of The Swimming Pool Hub (TSPH) highly versatile.”

The Future Belongs to Monoblock Pools

Monoblock pools, whether made from vinyl ester-epoxy composite materials or polypropylene, are delivered as a single, ready-to-install unit to the customer. The advantages: fast installation, less construction noise, and consistently high quality. “We’re seeing a clear trend in favor of monoblock pools over traditional concrete construction,” Flexline explains. “Sustainability is also playing an increasingly important role. Polypropylene, which is 100 % recyclable, perfectly meets this need.”

How the market will evolve in the long term remains to be seen. However, the company is closely monitoring trends and continuously adapting its offering to provide pool builders worldwide with the best solutions.

Leister: Partner for Precision and Quality

When it comes to welding polypropylene, Flexline has trusted Leister’s technology for many years. Leister’s welding equipment delivers reliable seams that pool builders can count on—regardless of the pool’s shape, size, or design. “For us, Leister sets the absolute standard in the market. We’ve been working together successfully for many years,” the company explains.

Polypropylene: Limitless Freedom in Form and Design

Compared to polyester, polypropylene offers significant advantages. The material enables:

  • complete freedom in dimensions and shapes
  • customized stair designs
  • complex features like overflow pools that integrate seamlessly into landscaped gardens

“Thanks to our production methods, we’re able to realize unique projects—such as pools that blend perfectly with natural swimming ponds or biopools. These projects are visually spectacular and truly one-of-a-kind,” says Flexline.

Durability and Low Maintenance

Another advantage: polypropylene is extremely durable—resistant both to UV radiation and to chemicals commonly used in everyday pool operation. “We use only raw materials from reputable manufacturers. That’s how we’re able to offer exceptional warranties on our pools,” Flexline notes.

Maintenance is also straightforward: thanks to non-porous surfaces, algae and other deposits adhere far less than with other materials. This means less cleaning effort for pool owners.

Looking Ahead

According to Flexline, polypropylene will play an increasingly important role in the future—not only because of its sustainability, but also due to its versatile design possibilities. Nevertheless, different pool types will continue to share the market moving forward.

“What always matters most to us is offering our partners in pool construction the highest quality—regardless of which technology the future brings,” emphasizes Flexline.
