Children’s pool waterproofing with Leister and Renolit

Renovation with a focus on safety and durability 

The Zurzach Regibad is one of the most popular outdoor pools in the region. In order to offer our youngest bathers even greater safety and comfort in the future, the children's paddling pool underwent extensive renovation in the winter of 2026. In addition to dismantling existing surfaces and structures, the project also includes adapting the piping, optimizing the attractions, and completely relining the pools. Classic concrete paddling pools in particular pose an increased risk of abrasions and minor injuries due to their hard surface and require intensive maintenance. A modern lining with plastic films provides a remedy here: Not only does it offer a wide range of colors and a pleasant feel, it is also significantly safer for children. 

Plastic sheeting as the ideal solution for children’s paddling pools 

Kiwi Schwimmbad GmbH was commissioned to line the pools. Owner Stefan Wiget emphasizes the advantages of foil-lined pools, especially for renovations: The butt welding technique used on the pelvic floor means that there are no sharp edges or joints. This significantly reduces the risk of injury and also makes it easier to clean the pools.  For him, it is clear that quality and efficiency are only possible with strong partners. That is why he has been relying on high-quality pool liners from Renolit and reliable welding equipment from Leister for years.

The pool films used in this project are from Renolit. They impress with their high quality, durability, and suitability for demanding pool applications. The long-standing partnership between Leister and Renolit has proven its value in numerous pool projects – and in Zurzach, this collaboration once again demonstrates what a true success model it is. 

Swimming fun from summer 2026

With the successful renovation of the children's paddling pool, Regibad Zurzach is well equipped for the future. From June 2026, children can look forward to a safe and fun swimming experience.
