Growing demand drives the need for a flexible welding solution
Flashing Warehouse is a young roofing fabrication company based in San Diego, California. Founded two years ago, the company benefits from more than 35 years of combined industry experience brought in by its owners. The decision to start the business was driven by a clear market need: reliable, high-quality roof flashing products and specialized fabrication services for the roofing industry.
As demand continued to grow, Flashing Warehouse reached the limits of its existing equipment. The production of larger and more complex components required a stationary hot air welding system that could deliver consistent weld quality while allowing precise control for intricate geometries.
Customized SEAMTEK 900 AT supports complex TPO and PVC components
To meet these requirements, Leister Technologies worked closely with Flashing Warehouse during a six-month consultation phase. Angie Boyd, SEAMTEK Product Manager at Leister Technologies, collaborated with Cody Cox, Head of Design and Fabrication at Flashing Warehouse, to identify a solution tailored to the application.
The company selected the SEAMTEK 900 AT due to its flexible machine concept and precise welding performance. The system was configured with one‑inch silicone wheels mounted on the right side of the pedestal arm and a 25 mm long nozzle. This configuration creates additional working space and allows operators to fabricate tighter curves and complex shapes more efficiently.
Thanks to its adaptable design, the drive wheels of the SEAMTEK 900 AT can be mounted on either side of the pedestal arm. This flexibility supports the production of linear pipe sleeves, outside corners, split cones, as well as large open and closed cones made from TPO and PVC roofing membranes.
