Since its launch in January 2024, the VARIMAT 700 has caused a stir worldwide – not just because of its high performance, but also because of the integration of the Leister Quality System (LQS). As the latest model in the tried-and-tested VARIMAT series, the device has everything the modern roofing professional needs: ergonomics, precision, digital networking and reliable data.
Eduardo Huitron, founder of Single Ply Roofing Experts in Lake Forest, California, discovered the VARIMAT 700 at the International Roofing Expo (IRE) and was immediately won over. As a long-term Leister user, he consciously focuses on future-oriented technologies at his company to increase quality and efficiency.
Huitron was particularly impressed by the ergonomic design of the VARIMAT 700: the robust transport case facilitates use on the construction site, while the integrated additional weights ensure that all components are always at hand and safely stored. Another bonus: being able to use predefined welding recipes – for TPO membranes, for example – simplifies work considerably and saves valuable time when setting up the device.
Making quality measurable – with the Leister Quality System
The Leister Quality System (LQS) is a real highlight. It records all relevant welding parameters such as speed, temperature, air volume, welding pressure and input voltage. The data can be accessed at any time via the myLeister app and is summarized in a cloud-based report.
For Eduardo Huitron, the LQS is far more than just a control instrument – it helps his young team members to learn, helps them understand precise welding and ensures that processes remain reproducible and traceable.
